Contact Centre Covid rules for Supported Contact

We have re-opened the Contact Centre on Saturday mornings.

Please note that due to the current situation we are asking that all the current Covid rules and guidance should be adhered to at all times.

We have had to alter the way that we work and so the following will apply:
  • All visitors will be required to complete a form on arrival each time stating their details that are required for Track and Trace. Please do not attend if you (or any member of your household or anyone you have been in close contact with in the previous 14 days) have been diagnosed with Covid or have any symptoms relating to Covid, a high temperature, a new continuous cough or a change in sense of taste or smell. Social Distancing must be adhered to at all times.
  • Temperatures will be taken on arrival and if anyone is showing a temperature then they will not be allowed into the Centre. Please wear a face covering on arrival and until you get to your allocated room. Hand sanitisers will be provided.
  • There is a one way system in use and there is no waiting room so parents dropping off will have to go off site. When you are dropping off or collecting a child, you will be met at the gate by a volunteer. You will not be entering the centre. Please be on time.
  • There are only three rooms in use, each room has it’s own allocated bathroom facility so that there are no shared toilet facilities at each visit.
  • Once a family is allocated a room then they will have to stay in that room until it is time to leave as we are not allowed to use the central area. Please also note that we may have to limit numbers, if applicable, to a family.
  • It is requested that families provide toys/games for the period of contact as the centre has asked that we do not use any of their toys. This also applies to visits during the week so is not something that is just required of us.
  • Sadly, we are unable to provide our usual tuck shop and drinks as the kitchen is unavailable so please ensure you bring something to eat and drink if you wish to, this includes ‘supplies’ for the children.
  • We do realise that this is a very different situation and a stressful one, but we will try to make things as comfortable as we can. Because of the one-way system then we must ask that all parents are punctual in order to avoid people being unable to practise social distancing.
